My experiencs in UT LEAD...

We have been in UT Lead for about two weeks and I have been having a great time. I have met a lot of new people and we have had some fun experiences over the past weeks. I have learned a numerous amount of things such as, how to eat with etiquette. Everyday I learn something new over these few weeks. We are getting a firs hand experience of what college life is like before we arrive at college and that is a exellent experience in itself. So far the people have been friendly except a few in this program who just have stuff going on, but I guess I shouldn't judge people because I not perfect and that is something else that I have learned throughout this program. No more parents telling you what to do and when to go to bed, it's up to you to make that descision for yourself. UT Lead has done a very good job in showing me how college life is going to be and for that I thank th UT Lead program and everyone who was a part of putting it together.

Career Services

While I was career services, I learned that I have no idea what I want to do with my life. It was a different experience because we were on seeing what a computer told us what our interest pointed to us becoming in life. In my opinion It was not true at all because it said that I should be a college professor or a bookkeeper. All of my categories where very low and I guess that's because im really not interested in alot of things and the things that I am interested in and the things that i am interested in will not make me any money. But all in all the career services meeting was a help because I guess now I atleast know what I dont want to do.

What Stands Out to Me Bout College

The thing that stands out to me the most about college I would have to say is the large campus located on a huge hill. Walking the campus is a huge amount of work especially when your class is located on the Giant hill. It takes a little getting used to that my classes are not right next to each other like the were in high school. I could have a class on separate ends of the campus and only have fifteen minutes to get there. I guess that the campus being so large is a good thing because it will be really hard to gain weight unless you are just eating like twelve meals a day. A bad thing would be that if you have a class on the other side of campus and you are five minutes from being late you might as well take your time time because you are going to be late regaurdless of how fast you run. Thats what stands out the most to me about college.
